Lee Montessori is a community school working to provide a high quality experience for all of its members. We encourage all families to get involved and to reach out to their school principals to learn more.

  • Family Teacher Association to enhance and support the educational experience at Lee Montessori PCS, to promote a closer connection between school and home by encouraging family engagement and strong family-school communications, and to foster a sense of community among families, teachers, and administrators at Lee Montessori PCS through family engagement, volunteerism, and financial support.

  • At each conference, guides provide families with information on their child’s academic and social-emotional developmental progress. Information is shared that can be used to support their child’s ongoing learning. These conferences allow our guides/assistants/supporting staff to build relationships with each family while collectively working towards the success of the child.

  • The Lee Family University programs’ purpose is to continue to provide our families with learning opportunities that will help them support their child/ren at home and also continue learning about topics that are important, intentional & relevant to parenting, anti-bias, anti-racist (ABAR), Montessori, and student support.

    Goals:

    Educate the Whole Family

Support families as life-long educators and learners

  • Our most hands-on event of the year is dedicated to providing families with the meaningful experience of visiting each of our Montessori programs (Primary and Lower Elementary). It’s a great opportunity for families to experience the magic of the Montessori materials and discover how the lessons learned in our early programs set the tone and lay an important foundation to prepare students for higher academics and critical thinking skills. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to gain a sense of how the Montessori Curriculum is seen through the eyes of a child to guide and nurture the natural unfolding of the whole child to inspire a lifetime love of learning and peace.

  • Service to the community is another aspect of the children’s curriculum that can be modeled by its adult members. Lee Montessori gratefully acknowledges all of its members who have offered to volunteer time, energy, and skills to initially organize and create it! Lee Montessori will thrive through the years as each family adds its own energy to its growth. By participating in service to the school, families become a part of the school’s structure and a practical piece of their child’s education. Volunteer opportunities that arise throughout the year will be communicated to all families. These may include classroom cleaning, school beautification, field trip assistance, fundraisers, and promotional activities.

  • Lee Montessori relies on generous individuals to provide our students and school with extra materials, activities, and support. Our donors’ financial contributions have helped to build a playground, a garden, a library, an art room, and so much more.

“Children become like the things they love.”

Family Engagement

Both of us left so excited about what is happening in the classrooms and about the community that you all are helping to cultivate for both the children and their families. We were very impressed by the care and intentionality that went into last night and by the care that so obviously goes into the day-to-day operation of the school.
